“By collaborating with SubjectToClimate, we can support these youth leaders as they make real, systematic change today.”
Following three months of the hottest temperatures on record, Global Nomads Group is addressing urgent environmental justice issues by supporting today’s youth in tackling global climate change and understanding the impact on their local communities.
This year, we are proud to partner with SubjectToClimate, a climate action educational resources organization, to provide Global Nomads Group’s learning materials to educators and students.
Two of our youth-designed Student to World online courses directly address climate change. As the global population rises and climate migration strains resources, rituals and issues related to food waste and loss are the pillars of our Global Hunger course. Through our Ocean Health course, educators and students learn how plastics, their lifecycle, and human behavior impacts the health of the oceans and planet. These interactive and engaging programs include dynamic learning features like videos, individual and group activities, storytelling, and youth-originated community action plans.
“Our planet is in crisis, and the world’s young people know it. They are working together, leading through action, and demanding accountability,” Global Nomads Group CEO Courtney Welsh said. “By collaborating with SubjectToClimate, we can support these youth leaders as they make real, systematic change today.”
Founded in 2020, SubjectToClimate’s mission is to impact climate action through education, and collaborates with like-minded organizations to provide resources including lesson plans, activities, the latest news, and webinars and workshops.
“Global Nomads Group is exactly the right fit for SubjectToClimate,” said David Jaffe, Chair of SubjectToClimate. “We partner with organizations deeply committed to climate action and that provide sound information to the educators and students who use our resources.”
By combining our knowledge and resources, Global Nomads Group and SubjectToClimate are equipping young people to take action on climate issues and address the resulting environmental injustices impacting people in their local and global communities.
