This program invites young people to expand their knowledge, grow their empathy, and connect with global peers around critical issues. Annually, Student’s Rebuild announces a global challenge that invites students to respond to a specific problem affecting young people somewhere in the world. Teachers, parents, and students explore the topic and, in the process, join with other young people around the globe in taking action.

Each year, GNG partners with the Students Rebuild by providing activities, global content, and opportunities to virtually connect across classrooms or teams.

Participation in Students Rebuild is free for everyone.

Young people are facing unprecedented challenges as they navigate socially-distanced learning, a global health pandemic, social uprisings, and extreme climate events.

This year, the Students Rebuild Changemaker Challenge is shining a light on the positive actions of young people and the people who inspire them.

In support of this year’s challenge, GNG is illuminating stories of young people and communities creating change.

Changemaker Chronicles:

A showcase of videos created by youth from around the world that celebrate the changemakers in their lives. The videos offer inspiration and empowerment to youth as they explore taking action as a changemaker in their own communities. We encourage any participating student to submit a video at any point throughout the Challenge.

Changemaker Webcast:

One webcast discussion (December 2020 date TBA) will feature youth change makers in conversation about taking meaningful action and making a difference. To register for the webcast and/or nominate a youth to participate on screen, click here.

Teams can tune in live as a group or individually.

Multi-Team Exchange:

Want to connect with other teams in real time? This video-conferencing opportunity will be available for up to 100 students that will be put into smaller cross-team groups to share stories about being a changemaker. To learn more about this opportunity and nominate your team, click here.

For every piece of artwork you create, the Bezos Family Foundation will make a $5 donation up to $1,000,000—to young change makers working across the globe, and educators

leading change in their local communities across the United States.
