Director of Marketing and Communications

This newly created Director of Marketing & Communications (Mar/Comms) role reports to the CEO, and is responsible for further developing the recently formed Marketing & Communications department, supervising the Digital Marketing Coordinator, and amplifying the organization’s mission/vision, programs and offerings, and impact. You will join the organization at an exciting moment as we launch a new 5-year plan and elevate the importance of our marketing and communications efforts to drive our success.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate across departments to amplify brand recognition and awareness, develop go-to-market strategies, and plan new product/program launches
  • Develop and lead Global Nomads Group’s digital mar/comms strategy
  • Create and execute targeted communications campaigns; analyze quantitative and qualitative details to assess their effectiveness against mar/comms goals
  • Provide overall department leadership – manage department budget and external consultants
  • Supervise mar/comms team member(s)
  • Serve as a member of the senior team

You Must Have

  • 7+ years of work or educational experience that is directly applicable to the primary responsibilities of this position
  • 2+ years supervising/coaching junior staff
  • Written and spoken English fluency
  • Comfort utilizing technology and learning various programs; proficient in Slack and Google Workspace

We'd Love If You Have

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally 
  • Knowledge of Arabic and/or Spanish
  • Knowledge of Canva, Adobe, WordPress, Asana, and HubSpot

Regarding Salary

* Global Nomads Group offers compensation at a level that is on par with similarly sized nonprofit organizations. If you are based outside of the United States, we will determine an equitably-adjusted compensation based on these types of organizations in your local job market.

Schedule

As an international team that values collaboration, we ask that all staff be available for meetings on Monday through Thursday between 9-11am EDT / 4-6pm EET and occasionally between 8am-12pm EDT / 3-7pm EET regardless of their location. The remaining hours of your work day are flexible and will be coordinated with your supervisor.
