The grant recognizes Global Nomads Group\u2019s efforts toward promoting \u201cinclusive digital spaces that enable individuals and communities to thrive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the Global Nomads Group program, CCL interns ages 11\u201323 work on multinational teams to develop digital content, including online courses and curriculum materials, addressing global issues important to youth. Topics include the environment and climate change, human rights, the humanities, and professional careers through a social justice lens. Throughout the internship term, youth interns develop skills such as intercultural communication, collaboration, and project management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis exciting grant will help Global Nomads Group scale the Content Creation Lab program, enabling us to engage with and provide learning stipends to more youth participants,\u201d said Global Nomads Group\u2019s CEO, Courtney Welsh. \u201cAnd in doing so, support these youths to not only connect with their global peers but become leaders in their local communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Designing for Digital Thriving challenge is the product of OpenIDEO and sponsored by San Francisco-based design firm IDEO.
