Designed \u201cby youth, for youth,\u201d the course equips young people everywhere with tools to foster belonging and inclusive leadership, drawing on the lived experiences of a diverse team of global youth.<\/p><p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;\">The course was created through Global Nomads\u2019\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Content Creation Lab<\/span>, a unique internship program where young people ages 13 to 24 collaborate across borders to design original courses for their peers. For this project,\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">32 youth from 21 countries<\/span>\u00a0worked together, with over half of the team identifying as neurodivergent. Their collective experiences shaped a curriculum designed for both neurodivergent and neurotypical youth, demonstrating the power of inclusive leadership in action.<\/p><p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;\">The multimedia modules feature youth-created videos documenting lived experiences of neurodiversity around the world. Modules include:<\/p><ul style=\"font-size: 16px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333; font-family: -apple-system, 'system-ui', 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" aria-level=\"1\">An introduction to neurodiversity<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" aria-level=\"1\">Common barriers faced by neurodivergent youth worldwide<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" aria-level=\"1\">The importance of inclusive leadership for neurodiverse teams<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" aria-level=\"1\">Youth-focused approaches to advocacy and inclusion\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;\">Youth who take the course are also invited to share their own ideas and perspectives with a global community of peers as part of their engagement in the assignments.<\/p><p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis experience has been nothing short of transformative. I\u2019ve always felt deeply about the topic of neurodivergence, but I now realize how limited my understanding was before. Being part of this journey allowed me to engage with [the topic] through diverse perspectives that truly broadened my worldview,\u201d said Simran Nagpal, a youth designer in the Content Creation Lab.<\/p><p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;\">Funding for the project came through\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">UP for Change<\/span>, a youth-driven participatory grantmaking initiative of the International Youth Foundation. Additional support, including stipends for global youth participants, was provided by the\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Intercultural Innovation Hub<\/span>, a collaboration among the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, BMW Group, and Accenture.<\/p><p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: 400;\">The new course builds shared capacity for inclusive leadership and celebrates the strengths of neurodiverse teams by centering real youth stories.
