HEALING CLASSROOMS WEBCAST:

YOUTH VOICES & THE SYRIAN CRISIS

Thursday, April 21st 9:00am EST

Sharing our stories first hand allows us to connect in a much deeper way, empathize with one another, and better understand our common humanity. As part of the Students Rebuild: Healing Classrooms Challenge alongside the International Rescue Committee, Global Nomads Group is bringing you stories of Syrian youth, living in Lebanon, and U.S. Challenge participants.

Through hearing these stories and participating in our LIVE broadcast from Lebanon you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and understanding of what Syrian youth are experiencing and how the Healing Classroom Challenge is supporting the futures of  individuals and communities.

FOR CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES?

Don't worry! You can still use the curriculum and experience the story of one young girl living in Za'atari through this YouTube 360 video on a computer, phone, or tablet.

*The "Clouds Over Sidra" virtual reality experience was created by the United Nations and VRSE.

TAKE THE CHALLENGE:

Join us alongside Students Rebuild, and the International Rescue Committee to help Syrian youth from conflict areas recover from crisis and grow into happy, healthy adults. We're hopeful you'll learn more about the situation Syrian youth are experiencing, and then participate in the Challenge by making and mailing in pinwheels. For each pinwheel you send in, the Bezos Family Foundation will donate $2—up to $400,000—to IRC’s Healing Classrooms program.
