Tony Blair Faith Foundation

In this age of global interconnectedness, never before has respect and understanding of different beliefs, cultures, and religions been so vital to peaceful relations. Face to Faith is designed to school students across the world in discussion about the role of faith in their lives, their communities and the modern world. Using video-conferencing and web-based tools, students have the opportunity to investigate specific global issues; discuss a range of opinions, values and beliefs; and explore the reasons for different perspectives. In the process, students collaborate with people from different faiths and build their understanding of current issues facing global inter- and intra-faith relations. By learning about those of different social, cultural and religious perspectives, young people will build their awareness of the role of faith in their life and in the lives of others. The program is committed to improving key 21st century skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and cooperative learning.

Students will explore how faith impacts the everyday culture and lives of youth today. Using live videoconferencing, this interactive program establishes a neutral platform for young people to discuss and share ideas, and will promote tolerance, respect, and mutual understanding.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore religion by engaging with a guest speaker, or expert, and through student-led discussions. Students will take part in conversations between Muslims, Christians, Jews, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus, and many more. This collaborative environment promotes cross-cultural dialogue among youth of different beliefs - empowering young people to learn together as a collective group of globally aware citizens.

Face to Faith is offered in partnership with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation.
