Hiba Ibrahim : Program Coordinator

Hiba graduated with a BA degree in English language and literature from the University of Jordan in 2009 and is currently doing her MA in education with University College London. Her involvement with cross-cultural education started in 2006 when she co-founded the “Yalla Talk” group for on-site interfaith and intercultural dialogue in Amman, Jordan. In 2008 she got to experience cross-cultural and virtual exchange herself with the Connect Program with Soliya, which deepened her interest in the field.

Hiba has worked as an instructor for Arabic as a foreign language for 6 years at Qasid Arabic Institute and the study abroad program at AMIDEAST in Jordan and was also granted the FLTA fellowship by Fulbright and taught as a full-time instructor at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio for a year. After returning to Jordan, she officially joined Qasid Online as a main instructor and curriculum designer. In her spare time, you can find Hiba involved i social work or blogging about Arab women, Islam and education in the Middle East
