Hiba Ibrahim : Program Coordinator
Hiba was born in Kuwait and then moved to Jordan with her family in 1991. She graduated with a BA degree in English language and literature from the University of Jordan in 2009 and is currently doing her MA in education with University College London. Her involvement with cross-cultural education started in 2006 when she co-founded the “Yalla Talk” group for on-site interfaith and intercultural dialogue in Amman, Jordan. In 2008 she got to experience cross-cultural and virtual exchange herself with the Connect Program with Soliya, which deepened her interest in the field.
Hiba has worked as an instructor for Arabic as a foreign language for 6 years at Qasid Arabic Institute and the study abroad program at AMIDEAST in Jordan and was also granted the FLTA fellowship by Fulbright and taught as a full-time instructor at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio for a year. After returning to Jordan, she officially joined Qasid Online as a main instructor and curriculum designer. Her collective social work in intercultural education in addition to my recent academic interests in the field led me to GNG. In her spare time, you can find Hiba reading, blogging, or traveling.
