Diane Robinson : Interim Deputy Director
As the Interim Deputy Director, Diane works closely with GNG’s CEO and senior team to ensure high-quality execution of the program and to ensure the organization has the systems in place to scale its impact. As a Jamaican-born American and someone with wanderlust, Diane has always been drawn to other cultures and considers herself a global citizen.
She has spent her adult life working to ensure that all children have access to a high-quality education and views GNG’s mission as being critical in developing the cultural and global competencies that all children need to thrive in the 21 st century. Diane has spent over 20 years working as a teacher and in senior leadership roles with Teach For America, the KIPP Foundation and Public Square Partnership. While pursuing her doctor of education leadership at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Diane also worked with Teach For All, a global network of independent social enterprises working to expand educational opportunity in their countries. While at Teach For All, Diane coached and supported CEOs in countries as diverse as Bangladesh, Colombia, Germany and Mexico.
Diane began her career in education as a first-grade bilingual teacher through the Teach For America program in Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Vassar College, a Master of Arts in multicultural education from California State University at Dominguez Hills and a Doctor of Education Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is proficient in Spanish, loves to cook, practices Transcendental Meditation and has most recently become a Soul Cycle addict.
